Arnamurchin Point is the most Westerly point of land on the mainland of Scotland. The light was first lit in 1849 and was automated in 1988. The accompanying buildings which were previously occupied by light house keepers have been converted into a museum.
I finished this painting a few years ago after a visit to that part of Scotland. I have had it hanging in my home because it is one of my favourites. I sold it recently but I think it is worth keeping on the web site.
